How to be Happy (6 Super-Easy Ways of Realizing Your Hidden Blissfulness)

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls

You are blissful and that’s your true nature. There’s no such thing as true bliss or false bliss. It’s either you are blissful or not. When you are in harmony with yourself and your environment, you will be in bliss.

You do not have to earn bliss outside. It lies within you. You have to dig deeper. And find it. Our own inner self gives us blissfulness. What lies within us can sustain us with bliss. All the time. So how do we tap into ourselves to discover this bliss?

How do we discover this? Well, it starts with our actions, thoughts, and beliefs. What we do every day, every hour, and every moment actually shapes our destiny. It can either be good or bad.

But the good thing is that you are in the Driver’s seat.

We need to organize our life’s systems, our ways, and our approach to life. Below I have 6 easy remedies to get you Blissed in no time. So let’s delve into it, shall we:

1. Contentment- be happy with what you have

Some say that contentment is the greatest wealth. And I pretty much agree with that. You may ask why? Well here’s the answer.

Our lives are being relentlessly being driven by our desires. We desire more money, more fame, recognition for our work, more stuff and the list is endless, needless to say.

That’s why I say we need to take control of our desires, and really understand what we need and what we already have. You need to stop competing with the world. Instead, compete with your own self. After all, you yourself are your best competitor.

Make a priority of what’s important in your life. Then you will develop the ability to enjoy what you already have and find peace and happiness in your life.

I am not saying that you stop progressing for a better life but progress with what you have for a brighter tomorrow. Learn to enjoy the present as it is. Give up the idea of “If I only had this” and “If I only had that”.

Socrates had wisely said

“Contentment is natural wealth, luxury is artificial poverty”

Remember joy doesn’t dwell in our possessions. Joy lies within you and you need to realize that. I know sometimes life doesn’t go our way, and we tend to get dejected. It happens. But keep in mind without rain nothing grows. Use the awful experiences in life to grow. Not to fall down.

Well moving on, Jim Carrey a famous comedian also has something to say about contentment. He says-

“I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of, so they can see that it’s not the answer.”

Lead a happy and healthy life by realising the abundance of the present.

Live in the moment.

2. Organise Better. Plan Better

Many of us may feel the pressure of working too hard. However, what we really need to do is to work smart. Plan your days, prioritize your commitments and most importantly keep your mind at ease. It just takes a few minutes of your time to organize yourself. I find it instrumental, to plan my day ahead in the morning or before going to sleep. Planning gives us a sense of organization. Your day will end with a sense of accomplishment.

Plan better to increase your productivity. Have better strategies to deal with life’s ups and downs. Well if you don’t know how to do this, let me give you a suggestion. Sit down in a quiet room alone by yourself. And think about what you need to handle in your life. Once you have done that, figure out a way on how to solve them. Organize yourself and your emotions to solve your issues effectively.

3. Seek Meaning in your Life

We truly need to ask ourselves, what actually makes life truly worth living. Perhaps this is one of the most profound questions people ask themselves, and there are probably must be different answers as well. However, one thing is common to all of us and that is- HAPPINESS. Everyone Wants Happiness- I can say this is universally true.

But what do we do?

We follow the world’s practice and become happy or upset when the situation is not perfect. You can choose to deal with your problems in a calm and happy manner. Do things in a different and creative way- it can really change the way we live our lives.

4. Spend Time with Nature

One of the best ways to feel refreshed and revived is by being in touch with nature. Whether you like sitting in your flower garden, going for a picnic, swimming or just spending a fantastic time outdoors, nature really does heal us in incredible ways. It has many benefits.

Literally, today’s world is flooded with screens. Unplugging and going outside can do miracles for us by reducing stress. We can connect with our inner self and feel a unique sense of rejuvenation. It calms our mind and soothes our soul.

Additionally, studies have shown that going out to get little sunlight for about 15 to 20 minutes increases vitamin D in our bodies. Nature imbibes a sense of creativity and fosters a sense of mental well-being. We come to realize our blissful nature much quicker by being with nature.

5. Spend “ME Time” more often

Let’s face it, our days are filled with a lot of happenings- from work to household chores and bunch of other things that just takes a lot of your time and effort. We tend to lose ourselves amidst all this- right!  And the next thing you know is that you are having a feeling that you are missing something- your day feels incomplete- to be precise.

To make our days more fulfilling we need to spend quality “ME Time” as I would say. After all, you all just wanna have some fun. And forget that stress that bothers you.  It’s very important that we connect with our ourselves and just forget about all that nasty and awful experience that you had.

You can watch a movie. Watching a nice movie with a wonderful storyline is no less than a top-notch therapy- well in my opinion. A good movie always teaches us something valuable about life, which we can pretty much related too. Well if not a movie, then you could workout- if that’s your thing. Working out keeps us in shape, improves our body image (many people are so serious about this) and it also keeps us in good health- so you can try doing this if working out is your mojo. Besides working out increases the production of endorphins. A chemical which produces positive feelings and makes us feel happier.

Another good way to enjoy is to read a nice book, magazine or  anything nice to read that you always just love reading.

Go to your favourite restaurant and just relish that meal which you just love. Treat yourself; pamper yourself once in a while. So that you don’t start developing a feeling that life is just a race.

Do things that just opens the bliss mine in you.

Have hobbies that transforms your life. Have hobbies that transform you into a best version of yourself. So that you can live your life in a glorious way.

Whatever makes you happy and positive- you can do that in your time. It really helps us to deal with all that stress. You will learn to keep your calm and handle life like a PRO.

6. Be Positive- Cultivate Positivity

Optimism is such a great tool to transform our lives. Isn’t it.

Being positive in life not only gives us the strength to solve the problems of life but it also assures us that everything about the future will be fine.

You will feel great about yourself. You won’t feel heavy at heart about the struggles of life- your personality will change. Goods things will soon start happening around and you will begin loving life. And Life will love you back. It’s such a wonderful feeling. You’ll feel magical.

You will become a confident person and it will give you the power not to give up. Handling your problems the way it’s supposed to be handled will be within yours palms. This type of positive attitude leads to success.

And I know you all want to be successful in life. Success and positivity are interrelated. When you are positive, you yourself will be able to motivate other people as well. You will become a beacon of hope for people who went through a similar crisis as you did. Won’t that be a pious deed for you to do? It really helps to look on the bright side of life. No one has ever hurt their eyesight by looking on the bright side.

A negative attitude makes you see other people’s success and not yours. It makes you forget about your own capabilities, which lies within you, waiting to be untapped. Only a positive attitude leads you to success.

Positivity cannot be seen or purchased but it is felt by a mindset that prevents you loosing from confidence. Positive thoughts provides a mental security against negative thoughts. Negative thoughts are a part of life just as the positive ones are. It’s okay if you feel negative at certain times.

However, you must use these negative thoughts as stepping-stones to where you want your life to be. To have positive thoughts you must surround yourself with positive people. Positive people vibrate positive energy- which will uplift you. We must really eschew the company of those who are just filled with negativity to the brim. Study your environment and re-design it so that it promotes your mental well-being.

You can either let the struggle tear you down to pieces and you can let it glorify you. It is only a matter of choice. The choice is yours. Use it to turn your life into a life truly worth living.

Remember-

“The quality of our thinking will determine the quality of our future”

Like I have said before, everyone wants happiness in their lives. It’s one of the things that is common to everyone. There are some practices which help us in attaining this happiness that you seek.

Being blissful is simple because it starts with you. When we are content, organized, willing to seek meaning in our lives, connected with nature, and maintain an optimistic attitude we can truly make our life a heaven.
